SEDEX was launched in 2004 by a group of UK retailers, including Safeway, Marks & Spencer, Northern Foods, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Uniq and Waitrose and now includes members such as Diageo, House of Fraser and the Bodyshop.
What do they do?
SEDEX aims to be the knowledge management provider of choice for measuring and improving ethical and responsible business practices in global supply chains. SEDEX operates in four areas: Labour Standards, Health & Safety, Environment and Business Integrity.
It enables member companies to manage more efficiently the ethical and responsible practices of their global supply chains, generating transparency through the provision of a secure, robust, and user-friendly data exchange.
