Seminar: Research and Development, Wednesday 1st April

Kingston Smith LLP, the top 20 accountancy firm, is running a seminar on Wednesday 1st April
with registration starting at 4.30pm.  Canapés and refreshments will follow at 6.15pm.

The seminar brings together the tax and legal benefits of identifying and protecting your Intellectual Property. Many companies are able to claim additional tax relief for their R&D work, though they struggle with understanding what qualifies. Once the R&D is developed, how do you go about protecting all of the valuable intellectual property?

In this seminar we look in detail at how broad the meaning of R&D is and what expenditure qualifies for tax relief.  Kolvin Stone, of Fox Williams LLP, will also give a practical overview of how best to protect R&D.

Key areas covered:

  • Identifying qualifying R&D and understanding potential cash flow benefits before undertaking a
  • project
  • Qualifying expenditure and how best to record it during the R&D project.
  • Making a successful R&D enhanced expenditure claim.
  • Protecting any Intellectual property that you create

To book your place, please email koliver@foxwilliams.com including your name and the name of your company.
